DESCRIPTION:About this event\nEarly diagnosis saves lives. Our virtual Cancer Champions awareness sessions help raise awareness of signs and symptoms of cancer to encourage early detection within local communities.\n\nThe 90-minute session will be available to both organisations and individuals across Hull\, North Lincolnshire\, York\, East Riding of Yorkshire and North Yorkshire.\n\nEach week\, 95 families within the Humber and North Yorkshire region lose a loved one to cancer. The Cancer Champions Programme aims to save lives by promoting healthy lifestyle choices and encouraging early detection of cancer\, when treatment could be simpler and more successful.\n\nOur easily accessible sessions are hosted on Microsoft Teams\, which is free to use.\n\nYou’ll gain the confidence and knowledge to have life-saving conversations about cancer and everyone who completes the course will receive a copy of our virtual handbook\, a certificate and a badge to show they have taken part.\n\nN.B. The Microsoft Teams joining link for the session will be sent the day before the event.\n\nPlease be sure to sign into the Teams link 5 minutes before the start of the session to ensure that we can start on time.\n\nDisclaimer: Please note that the Cancer Champions Team reserves the right to cancel any session that does not meet our minimum number of 6 bookings\, up to 2 hours before the start of the session.\n\nN.B.
