Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance is pleased to announce that its 10-Year Cancer Plan for Humber and North Yorkshire has been published.
This plan supports the government’s national reforms, which began with the 10-year health plan for England a year ago, and the national cancer plan, published earlier this year. Both set out fundamental reform of the NHS through transformational change to ensure its future sustainability.
In support of this reform, the Cancer Alliance and partners have created a tailored 10-year plan for cancer in Humber and North Yorkshire, which reflects the region’s diverse geography and communities.
The plan was shaped by extensive public engagement, speaking to hundreds of people at more than a dozen events – including Driffield Show, Messingham Show, and Scarborough and Scunthorpe Pride, alongside sessions with seldom-heard, under-served and marginalised communities.
