Treatment, pathways, and personalised care
The programme works with partners to ensure the healthcare system has enough capacity to deliver equitable cancer services for all people in our region.
We are working together to improve the care and support people with cancer receive. Timely access to treatment is integral to improving a person’s chances of surviving cancer and their quality of life after treatment. From the initial suspicion of cancer and subsequent clinical investigation to diagnosis and treatment; a cancer patient’s journey can be complex.
The Treatment, Pathways and Personalised Care programme is working with partners within the Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance to ensure there is enough capacity in the local healthcare system to deliver equitable access to cancer treatments and care for all people living in our region.
Treatment and Pathways
Best practice timed pathways support the ongoing improvement effort to shorten diagnosis pathways, reduce variation, improve patient experience of care, and meet the Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS).
Through effective partner collaboration, the Cancer Alliance diligently oversees cancer services on a system-wide scale.
