The results of the latest National Cancer Patient Experience Survey (NCPES) have been published today (Thursday, 16 July 2026).
The survey gathers feedback from people who have received NHS cancer care in England and provides valuable insight into patients’ experiences of diagnosis, treatment and ongoing care. It helps cancer services understand what is working well and where improvements can be made to deliver the best possible experience for patients.
The Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance area results can be viewed here.
Results for our main NHS providers of cancer services are also available:
- Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust
- Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust
- York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance will work with NHS trusts and partners across the local health and care system to review the findings and identify opportunities to further improve the quality and experience of cancer care across the region.
Mr Kartikae Grover, Clinical Director, Humber and North Yorkshire Cancer Alliance, said:
“We welcome the publication of the 2025 National Cancer Patient Experience Survey results and would like to thank every patient who took the time to share their experiences.
“The survey provides invaluable feedback from people who have used cancer services across our region. It helps us understand where we are delivering high-quality, compassionate care, while also identifying opportunities to improve the experience of patients and their families.
“Working alongside our NHS trusts and partners across Humber and North Yorkshire, we will carefully review the findings and use them to help shape future improvements to cancer services, ensuring care continues to become more personalised, responsive and centred around the needs of our patients.”
